Interesting "Enterprise" Notes
* NOTE: "Broken Bow" parts one and two originally aired as a feature lenghth episode. This two hour movie is said to have had a budget of $10 - $15 Million. * This is the first series not to feature a passing the torch scene like the previous series. In other words no one form the previous series appeared in the pilot episode. Which makes sense since none of those characters have been born yet, except for maybe Sarek and Q. * Admirals Leonard and Forrest and Commander Williams are named after Leonard Nimoy (Spock), DeForrest Kelly (McCoy)and William Shatner (Kirk) of the Original Series. * Vaughn Armstrong (who holds the record for playing the largest amount of alien guest characters on Star Trek) plays his first human role as Admiral Forrest. * Gary Graham (who is better known for playing Matt Sikes in Alien Nation) also played Tannis in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Cold Fire". * James Cromwell reprises his "Star Trek: First Contact" role of Dr. Zephram Cochran. He also previously played Nayrok in the TNG episode "The Hunted", Jalom Shrek in "Birthright, Parts 1 and 2" and Minister Hannok in the DS9 episode "Starship Down". * Thomas Kopache previously played Kira's father, Kira Taban in the Deep Space Nine episodes "Ties Of Blood And Water" and "Wrongs Darker Than Death Or Night," and Viorsa in Voyager's 'The Thaw.' * Captian Jonathan Archer was originally to be called Jackson Archer. Jeffrey was also considered. While the (American) producers of the show didn't see any problems with this name, UK fans pointed out the link to disgraced author Jeffrey Archer. * Commander Tucker's nickname was originally to be "Spike". * T'Pol was originally to be called T'Pau. The character's name was changes to avoid confusion with the T'Pau of the Original Series episode "Amok Time". Viewers may have thought it was the same character. * Ensign Travis Mayweather was originally to be called Joe Mayweather. * The following dedication appeared on screen before the original airing: "This episode is dedicated to the heroic firefighters who lost their lives in the World Trade Center tragedy."
