My name is Itzchak Wunsch from ISRAEL. The reason that I´m writing to you is following a story that I heard from my father Dov Wunsch (Brnant or Bernard in Romanian) and my grandmother Eugenia Wunsch (Berkovits before married). According to them, my grandfather Josef (or maybe Josif or Ioska in Romanian) Wunsch was officer in the British Army. He was recruited and training in England between the years 1920-1930 (approximate years). In 1931 he was sent to Romania as a spy, his cover was journalist and as I tell he was work in Bucharest (I don´t know the name of the newspaper) He was born in Bistrita Nasaud, Transylvania, Romania between 1897-1904. He was caught in Romania (1940), and in the night he was supposed to be killed somebody released him and smuggling him to Hungary. In Hungary he was working as a journalist in Budapest (I don´t know the name of the newspaper). He had apartment in Kuzraktap Utca 22 in Budapest. In 1943 he was catch by the German in Hungary and as best of my knowledge he was sent to camp in Ukraine there he was torture and killed by them. My father tells me that after the war he got a letter from the Red Cross in Hungary. According to the letter my grandfather was died in 13/01/1943 in the camp, but I don´t have the letter. According to the story he was writing a book and the book kept by the English intelligence. I´m looking for any piece of information about my grandfather (or any from WUNSCH family) whom I didn´t have the honor to recognize.
