Sami erroneously thinks Austin has proposed to her. Carrie overhears and is excited for them. Before Austin can get a word in, Sami makes it worse. When she hears Austin is not ready yet to settle down with her Sami is mortified. Lucas and Carrie give Sami and Austin some space. Emotional Sami is beside herself realizing that Austin didn’t intend on committing to her. She comes to a momentous decision: she wants Austin to move out of her apartment. It is time for Sami to move on with her life.

John is determined to get Marlena away from Alex once and for all. Hope helps John with his plan and after John cuts in to dance with Marlena, Hope keeps Alex busy gambling. John gets Marlena to remember their past by giving heran antidote to the amnesia serum Alex has been administering. Marlena’s memory comes flooding back and she begs John to get her out of there… now! John and Marlena exit. Alex sees they’re gone and freaks out. Hope is very pleased: Marlena is with the man she truly loves! Angry Alex goes off to find Patrick… Alex wants Patrick to eliminate John Black ASAP!

Chelsea surprises Max with a new designer racing outfit. She also had custom “Team Brady” jackets made. Shawn moves in and snipes that Chelsea is not fit to wear the Brady name. Max tries to mediate between the warring half-siblings, but Shawn refuses to forgive Chelsea. Shawn has an automotive invention he thinks could make a lot of money. He and Max decide to go into business together to market it and Chelsea is not pleased to see Shawn and Max drawing closer. She urges Max to fire Shawn but Max refuses. Chelsea sees Shawn could be a big problem and she may need to get him out of the way herself
