Sam and Alex seem to be the hostages of Steve, Mary and Rafe, who are on the run since their breakout from prison (via the ER) in the previous episode. Morris treats Jerry, who was admitted after he was shot at during the breakout. Fanny, Jerry’s mother, is at the hospital and keeps complaining about her son’s career. Dubenko performs the operation on Jerry. With Kovac and Coburn by her side, Abby delivers her baby. Let’s say things don’t go smoothly once the baby is out. Neela and Pratt also appear. ] 02 Episode 13.02 - Graduation Day: Abby and Luka's child has to undergo surgery. Abby attends a class on breast-feeding. Maggie (Sally Field), Abby's mother, visits her daughter and, as expected, they clash. Two guys flirt with Neela, who decided to go out for the evening. When things get a bit out of hand for Neela, Gates (John Stamos, who will now be a regular), who is at the scene, rescues her. A man who covered his body in tinfoil to get better reception from the voices he is hearing comes to the ER. The ER is once again being remodeled. Sam still works for Richard Elliot. Morris, who now works for a pharmaceutical company, tries to sell new medicine to an ICU attending. Will he be able to be a good salesman or will he have to try to get his old job back? Weaver, Pratt, Frank, Zadro (a paramedic), and Marquez also appear. 03 Episode 13.03: New recurring characters start making their appearances in this episode. Schiff, an offbeat surgical chief resident who works for Dubenko, will be in at least five episodes. Angela, an attractive and efficient African American who will be the director of Medical Staff Affairs and Acting Chief of Staff until a new permanent staff member is found. She is a potential love interest of Doctor Pratt. Abby befriends Jim and tries to help him cope with his own illness. But Jim has a secret that could shake Abby's world... will he have the courage to reveal it? - General spoilers: It seems Gates may be involved with a mother, Meg, and her young daughter, Hannah. The latter is not happy to have to wear the clothes her mother buys her and nor is she ecstatic about living in Gates' apartment. When Gates drives her to school, Hannah starts changing in clothes she brought in her backpack, clothes that fit her style. He starts discussing with Hannah about the clothing problem and what is really behind all this. Gates clearly loves the kid and cares for her well-being.
