These BBC sessions from 1975 and 1978 are a great reminder of the vitality and inventivness this group posessed. SOFT MACHINE - BBC RADIO 1971-1974 Second volume of these fantastic recordings Soft Machine did for the BBC. The group was slowly making a transformation from free jazz (around the SM 3 & 4 period) to more Jazz/Rock oriented material (around SM 6 and into `Bundles`). All that can be heard here in superb sound quality the BBC sound engineers are so famous for. Absolutely essential! KBB - FOUR CORNER`S SKY 2nd album from 2003 by this incredible instrumental Fusion/Prog Japanese group. Their sensational debut album created a lot of interest and this new album stands up to the expectations admirably. Virtuoso performances and great tunes all the way through, which means that this group has something to offer in the long run. If you liked the first one - this is a must! CAST - AL-BANDALUZ New double album from the Mexican Symphonic Prog masters. The spirit of Yes and other past greats is alive and well and Cast certainly know how to play the right notes. This set includes two lengthy epics (over 30 minutes each), as proper for Symph, and other shorter pieces which are equally interesting. Their many fans need no encouragement to get this one.
