english only message

just in case I need to speak english only... I need to have a grammer check for a logo I am about to make. "takes your battling experience to the next level"

זה אמור להגיד

"לוקח את ניסיון הקרב שלך לרמה הבאה" נכון? אם כן אז זה בסדר גמור מבחינתי...\ אם זה "קח את ניסיון הקרב..." אז תוריד את הS מTAKES

It might be easier to help you

If you write what you wanted to write in a language you see yourself better expressed at (I'm not only vaguely hinting towards Hebrew) IMHO, I think it'll be better put as "Taking your battle experience to the next level" Because "taking" being of progessive persuasion gives the sentence a more "active" touch. Think of a sewage company that has a logo saying : "taking the PISS since 1968 " :p

i think that takes it better+questi

sounds better. don't forget it's still a logo\commercial, what's sounds better = in. הא ושאלה איך אומר מה שנשמע,לא יודע למה אבל WHAT'S SOUND לא נשמע לי כל כך טוב... הא ומה ההבדל בין THIS לTHAT.

I beg to differ

Present simple is more informative than stimulating.. I think making the verb progressive makes it more "active" and thus more stimulating (that's what advertising's about)

I do think so too

but try to say Taking and try to say takes which one is easier to express? (EXPRESS = להגות נכון?) I think that takes is easier to express, and it sounds better the meaning will be almost the same, but i think that takes has the best look and sound. u might think other as well, this is your opinion after all,and this is mine. אממ אאל"ט "אתה יכול לחשוב אחרת" זה "u might think other as well" נכון? (מצפה לתיקון)

oh puh-leez

the argument that it's easier to "punctuate" (note the enormously infantile argumentation right here) the word "takes" rather than "taking" is simply embarassing to even refute.. - Just for my edification, how old are you? - listen, personally I wouldn't give a fart in a high wind as to who uses what.. But since the guy asked for MY opinion, well, I gave my opinion , and it sticks to be the more informed version, viz. "Taking" I can't believe I'm giving such a strong-headed advocacy for something as barking trivial as this

Omm

Also, what you wrote in Hebrew and its respective English "transliteration" is completely unrelated.. If I'm not too off the tracks.. You're aiming at "That which is heard" (that is , if what you're talking about is audible, at least metaphorically) It really is quite contextual, try handing out more data on what you're talking about and wish to express and we'll see if we can transliterate it better

the right meaning?

i just can't understand this.. when you see ING you think that the sentence is in present prograssive, but it's not. "card capturing sakura" has a bit different meaning then "card captor sakura", also the last sentence will be mostly used, but that doesn't mean the first sentence is wrong. well, they don't teach this at scholl, but it's not wrong. and tal, even if 2 people agree with you, it doesn't mean you have some kind of proof.

לדעתי

takes your battle experience to the next level. או takes your battle experience to a new level
