אני חושבת שאני שמעתי משהו כזה. אני יודעת שכפילי אלביס בארץ היו מאורגנים במעין מועדון אבל הם לא קראו לעצמם מועדון מעריצי אלביס אלא כפילי/חקייני אלביס. אבל ממה שהבנתי לפני שנתיים בערך המועדון התפרק בגלל כל מיני ויכוחים בין החברים. הכל פוליטיקה.

כל מה שאני יכולה להגיד לך זה ששלחו לי מכתב ודרשו 120 ש"ח דמי הצטרפות ל-4 עיתונים בשנה. אני הייתי אז בת 11 ולחצתי על אמא שלי שתרשום אותי. שלחנו צ'ק וטענו שהוא לא הגיע - ואני חושבת שבסוף לא קם מועדון כזה. מישהו כאן מכיר/זוכר את התוכנית "המלך, אלביס פרסלי, האיש והאגדה"? התוכנית שודרה בכל יום שבת בשעה 18:00 ברשת ג' - וארכה כשעה. היו 40 פרקים וזו התוכנית הארוכה ביותר שהקדישו למלך בכל העולם - נעשה שם מחקר מדהים. התוכנית הוגשה ע"י מנחם פרי, ושולבו בה גם שירים והקלטות נדירות (אני כמובן - הקלטתי כל פרק, ועכשיו אני שוקדת על העברת הפרקים לדיסקים). על כל פנים - מי שיזם את הקמת המועדון היה אדם בשם אריה נאמן, מירושלים. מעריץ מושבע ובעל אוסף מאוד גדול. הרבה מההקלטות שלא היו לרשת ג' נלקחו מאוספו הפרטי. מעניין יהיה לאתר אותו באמת.... לסיכום: אני לא חושבת שיצא מהמועדון הזה משהו לפועל....

יכול להיות שהוא באמת מתבייש
על זה שהוא הפסיק להשמיע אלביס בסיום כל תכנית בוקר. ויכול להיות שזה לא היה שיקול שלו, אולי קיבל הוראה להפסיק עם זה? אי אפשר לשפוט אותו לפני שמבררים איתו את הסיבה לכך.
