ahhhh memories. remember that time when that thing happened? you probably had a flash of something from your past when you read that sentence... or if you didn't then, then maybe you're having one now. it's strange to think about whether or not you would have had that particular thought if you weren't reading this tour post right now. Last night a car skidded out as it was driving toward me and swerved into my lane for a moment before getting control and driving back into their lane... it happened fifty feet in front of me... if i'd driven just a few miles an hour faster in the few seconds before that happened he would have hit me... There are so many possibilities of what could happen at any given time, and yet there is always only one thing that actually happens. So... here we are in the new year... 2005. I hope you're happy wherever you are and whatever you're doing. We just finished a rehearsal for the grammy's. It felt great to walk into the Staples Center, our home town arena, and see the giant stage that we'll be sharing with the other bands this sunday. We're opening up the show with Franz Ferdinand, The Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, and Los Lonely Boys. This week has been busy, and as all this is going on we're getting ready for the tour this March April and May... Adam, Mickey and I will all have our 26th birthdays during this tour. I'm really excited about taking out The Thrills and The Donnas... and we're also playing with our old friends Phantom Planet to start out the tour in LA. Do you have tickets to any of the shows???? I'll bet you do... I hope you do. I'm listening to Mozart's Piano Sonata in A minor.... Look, he's just like alicia keys!!! It's amazing. Music is amazing... what do you like better than music? Food? Sleep?... Other things??? I feel like I'm in fourth grade right now... What grade are you in? Do you think it's strange that i'm asking these questions that you obviously cannot answer.... well... no... you could... you could post on the board all throughout this next week, and put it under the heading Answers to Jesse's Questions from Feb. 12th... and then i'd know who i'm really dealing with here... So... to recap... here are my questions... cut and paste. 1. What memory did you think of at the start of this post? 2. Do you have tickets to one of our shows this next tour? 3. What grade are you in? *(if you're out of school just think of what grade you'd be in if the years just continued... 13th grade for freshmen year of college... and on and on...) 4. What do you like better than music? 5. Do you think it's strange that i'm asking these questions? OK... So there we have it. Please think something positive for Ryan right now. And please do something fun today. Love JESSE.
