i have a little question

My boyfreind and I have a little arguement..he claims that I should say: "I'm waliking to school on foot" I believe that it's: "I'm walking to school by foot" Can you please help us??

He's right, too

walking is referred to as "on foot" The confusion is since you go to school "by bus", "by car", "by bicycle", etc. I'm almost sure you can go "by foot" but there's no problem with the other form as well. So you're both right and peace can now come between you.
