i had an exam few weeks ago, today i recieved the exam back and i am not happy with the grade. ther was one question that i think i deserve more points. what did i do? i went to my teacher and asked her why. her answear was " this unseen is from the education department and they gave five options to compleat. your answear was'nt there" so... i need you, people who know exactly what they read and not guessing to tell me if the answear i gave is good, bad, or in between. that way i wiil appeal and hopefully gain those 9 points. the question was: "what is the subject of lines 18-24? i answeared : the effective use of El Silbo. if you have reasons for WHY my answear is good it will be Great!! tenx

To be honest, I'm not sure I would've given you the full score for that answer. I am, however, going to provide you with a better explanation than the one you got from your teacher... and here it is: Saying that the paragraph is about the effectiveness of El Silbo is a little too general, because you can say that about many other parts of the text. But while the other paragraphs talk about the past, this particular one tells you how the locals use it THESE DAYS. So if I were taking the test, my answer would be: "Current Advantages of El Silbo".​

this is one of the answears she was looking for. i am looking for explanasions to why the answear i gave is good enough. can you help me with that? like i wrote, she is open for deliberation, if i'll convince her she might give me more points ( thogh my grade is good (89) it can be better 89+9=98)

I'm afraid I can't help you with that, because like I said, I don't think the answer you gave IS good enough... sorry. Maybe someone else will take your side. But either way, 89 is an excellent grade. And your English is pretty good.​

"COMPLETE answer"

When I studied English, you'd always have to give to full answer - a whole sentence.. So, with the example you gave, your answer should've been somthing along the lines of "The subject of lines 18-24 (or just "these lines", it doesn't really matter) is the effective use of El Silbo". I haven't read the text, so I can't say how appropriate your answer was, but that just was the first thing I noticed, and I know teachers demand it, usually.. Amit

first- the teacher always saying=> don't arite a full answear!! it's not requiered it will only hurt you in the end. second- it was a compleat question... THE ________________ OF EL SILBO.
