help - got mugged in cambodia!!!!

please help me, any1 who can... i got to poipet yesterday morning and took a taxi to batambang...on the way the people inside took my money and camera, and i had to go on a pickup truck to phenom pen. got here last night and 1 am after 12 hours on the road...no1 speaks english, information center closed 2day, i dont have any money, accept a few rialls, dont know anyone, no israeli consuly, i nead to get new travvelers checkes for the ones that were stollen, but no one understand what i want..dont know where to go... please - if u can help me somehow... roie please write my email - [email protected] i cant read hebrew!!

Hi Roie [email protected] First, u did good thing to call us hear in Pnom-Phen there is a small ally (little street) with many chip guest houses every tricycle will take you there – just ask for guest house its in the north side of the city next to the big lake if u have no money give him a shirt or something one of the guest houses is owned by an Israeli and his Cambodian Wife they love Israelis over there and will do everything for you and help u overcome first few days. first thing - go to the police

without a note form the police, saying you lost your stuff (whatever it was), the insurance won't help you. Traveller cheque companies will want that too, otherwise they might want to investigate the case, and it will take a lot longer to get anything back from them. Hope you find that hotel given here. I'm sure you'll find help soon. Many Israeli travelers are there. Good luck, and let us know if you need anyone contacted.

עניתי לרועי באי מייל, ושבדקתי את המייל שלי עכשיו (בבוקר), קיבלתי ממנו תשובה. אני לא יודע אם רועי קרא בפורום שוב, אז אני ארשום בקיצור את מה שהוא אמר לי. רועי סיפר לי שהוא אמר לגנבים (שודדים) שלא נשאר לו כסף, אז הם החזירו לו את כרטיס האשראי שלו, וכך הוא יכל למשוך כסף. הוא שאל אם אני מכיר ישראלים ב-Phenom pen אז אם מישהו מכיר, אתם מוזמנים ליצור איתו קשר. בהתחלה הוא חשב לחזור לארץ אחרי מה שקרה לו, אבל הוא החליט בסופו של דבר שדבר זה לא יהרוס לו את הטיול.

זה מזכיר לי

שניסו לשדוד אותי בטיול הראשון שלי בקניה, וגם סיפרתי את זה בפורום ממזמן. אני זוכר שגם אני הייתי המום מכך בהתחלה, אבל הישראלים האחרים שהיו איתי באכסניה עודדו אותי, ואחרי כמה ימים זה עבר, והמשכתי לטייל כאילו לא קרה כלום.
