Hello, I have a qustion

Hello: I have not got an answer in other forums and have decided to ask here: I learn Persian at this time, a language that constantly refer to English. Yet, I have difficulty to differentiate between "that, this, those, these" I would be greatful if someone will help me. Thanks.

ok

pretend there's a table with an apple on it you stand near the table and pick up the apple. you say "THIS apple is red" you put the apple down, walk away from the table. you point at the apple and say "THAt apple is green" (cause you're colourblind and can't see it's actually red)
now, say you're writing an essay. your first line is i am writing an essay. then you want to write something that refers to the word essay, for example you want to say it's going to be long. because you used the word essay in your previous sentance, near the end, you use THIS in your nex one: This essay is going to be long now you want to write about how you got the idea to write an essay so you say: I got the idea to write the essay when i was six and had a dream of green cows. now you want to write about the idea again, so you use THAT, because THIS would refer to the dream. THAT idea, to write an essay, was in my even before i was born. THESE is the same thing as this just for lots of apples. so if the thing you're refering to is next to you , use "this". THOSE is just like THAT. blah, i hope you understood something:\
