hello to you all. more memorys from france. what was it like to go to a mike concert in those days?, well it depended, when and when you went. the early ones were the better, because he was happyer, and you could get closer to him.. by summer 73, it had all gone wild, and he had to have, body gards and things like that,, and you couldnt get really near the stage anymore, as mike had become, frightend, some of the girls were going to tear him to peaces. . in the early days you could cet really near the front in his concerts, special spaces were made for paid upn fan club members like us. he would sing a song and the then talk to the audance, with what french he had learnd and english at witch he wes very good. i do remember one concert in paris, when he said he was going to sing a song his mother had given him when young. . he started of only you, and his voice, went right through your body it was so powerfull and so pure. i and so many orthers were spellbound,at the golden warm voice that came out of this shy and modest young man, then he went on to my prayer, the notes his voice managed to hit, you ran out of words to discribe. then he would return to the french hits, . that pdid the bills, as he once said.in those day if the croud were not too big he would even come round to the stage door, ton nsing photos and talk to his fans. later on that all changed, as mikes safety became the most important thin .g. one concert got too big and i was nearly squshed to death as the people moved forward to get hold of mike and i was pind against the stage and couldnt breath. remember mike as a kind and gentle man. love,annie.xx g.
