Prectitioners. Today as always I went early in the morning to one of the practicing grounds in Shanghai in search of interesting things and TCMA(Treditional Chinese Martial Arts ). Luckly I came a cross few elders doing Praying Mantis , I must say that they really impressed me with there agility and swift body movments etc. It seems that they really know what they doing ( Unlike many that do not.....but just telling stories that they are- a very common thing in China) I had a great opertunity to record them on the Video for a few min cause they were a bit shy and suspicious any way I invited buy them to come again tomorrow and I hope that I can get some more documented material for you guys..... Can you ask them what brach it is?

I Don't know any Jook Lum outside Hong Kong, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. Although, I'd expect the mantis you saw to be northern...​

Actually I asked them about it but cause I'm not really familiar with the names and the diffrent branches of Praying Mantis I forgot all the names they told me. I hope to get together with them maybe the day after tomorrow and ask them about it. The styles in Shang hai also regarded as southern styles so I guess that you can find some similarities between your style and that wine...I only guess it... By the way you can write me in Hebrew I can read hebrew but can't write ... Hanan Shanghai China​

אני חושב שמצאתי במנדרין

בכל מקרה אלו שמות בדר"כ בקנטונזית או אפילו בHakka. 1. Zhu Jia or Zhou Jia (chow gar). Also known as Chu Gar Gao (Chu family religion). 2. Zhu Lin Shi Tang Lang Quan Also known as Kwang Sai Jook Lum (Bamboo Forest) or kwong sai jook lum gee tong long pai, also known as mui fa tong long.
