Hi, I didn't understand the following joke: There's a noisy party with a guy playing the piano real loud. Another guy walks up to him and says "Do you know there's a little old lady upstairs trying to sleep?" And the piano player says "No, but hum a few bars and I'll fake it!" 10x, Asi

It's not really funny,

But I think the piano player meant that the guy who walked up to him should hum a tune, and the player will fake the piano playing (not actually make a sound out of the piano). If that's what it is - it's not funny.

I'll explain

The guy mentions the old lady upstairs who's trying to sleep, and by that hopes to get the piano player to keep it quiet. But the piano player thinks the guy has just asked him to play a song called "There's A Little Old Lady Upstairs Trying To Sleep", so he says he doesn't know it but is able to fake it (meaning to guess the chords according to the guy's singing). I don't care if the explanation totally ruined the punch, because it wasn't that funny anyway.​
