Hi, First, I am not sure if this is the right forum for this kind of post so if I am wrong - forgive me. I am 31 yo and I have a reasonable+ english level. I would like to improve my speech abilities and for this aim I am looking for a native english speaker with whom I can just speak by phone for about 4 weekly hours. The option to do it with a "standard" private tutor is much too expensive (~100nis per hour *4 weekly hours*4weeks per month) - So I am looking for a native english speaker who would like to chat over the phone or face to face for , say, up to 50 nis per hour. A barter is also an option - any kind of help with computers, math, biology or internet can be paid back. If you know someone - please let me know. Thanks Uri.

I can suggest that you join the chat rooms of Yahoo website, where you can communicate with people not only through text, but by voice and video. If you have a microphone and a webcam this should be of no problem. I used to chat with people through Yahoo, and I met a lot of people from all over the world, including from english-speaking countries. It is quite a good way to improve and practice your english, though I think a private teacher is the best option, since he or she can teach you the "right" english. You may be surprised to find how many native speakers of english speak with grammer mistakes. Which is also true about native speakers of Hebrew... Good luck Uri.
