Congratulations and pictures of the new olim

Hi Everyone! Congratulations to the 220 new olim who made aliyah today from North America to Israel. I was at the airport and took pictures of the exciting event. I posted the pictures online at: http://www.jr.co.il/pictures/israel/history/2007/a97.htm When the first page appears, press the F11 key to view the full length of the pictures. To move from page to page, use the navigation buttons on the bottom of the screen. May the aliyah from North America (and the rest of the world) grow and bring more Jews back to their homeland, Eretz Yisrael. Have a great day, Jacob

It's kind of funny

because people actually tend to run away from here and move abroad.Anyway they have my appreciation and full support.I hope Israel would be for their liking because it's wayyy different from North American that's for sure. If we're already talking about moving abroad, those of you who live in Israel,do you think that someday you'll leave here? And those who live abroad,do you think you'll ever come back? Well I'll answer first.I must say I love Israel to death and I think here there's just a different and special atmosphere. All in all.I don't think I'll ever be able to leave Israel permanently. Let's here your answers...

i don't think i will

for a few reasons. one- by the time i'm done with university, i'll probably be married and with a child on the way. i don't want to have to go to the army, and i think i'd go crazy if my future husband would have to be in the army 6 days a week. two- i love canada. ppl are really nice here, and we just have this good feeling. i lke israel, i don't have anything against it, i just don't want to live there

well, don't all girls?

jut kidding. well, i'm in a really good relationship with my boyfriend, and i would like (and he would too, right ilia
?) to get married after my bachlors. and no, i'm an israeli, i've lived in canada for three years and aboard for 8 years and a half. and Gaily, i'm not sure, i think i'm going to a different carreer path, and i'm worried that the 3 years of the PhD would cost too much and it would end up to not pay off. anyways, even with a PhD i'd finish my post secondarty education by the age of 25 or 26.

I just wanted to make sure

you would plan on getting out of the university at an age that is thinkable in relation to marriage...
