About Our Guests Chad Michael Murray began his career as a model before landing the role of Tristan DuGrey on "The Gilmore Girls." After several guest spots on the show, he joined the cast of the extremely popular "Dawson's Creek" in the fall of 2001, playing Charlie Todd. This spring, Murray appeared in the title role of "The Lone Ranger" on the WB television network. He has also appeared in the feature film "Megiddo: Omega Code 2." He began shooting "The Cinderella Story" this summer with Hilary Duff. He will also begin shooting his series "One Tree Hill" in mid-August for the WB. In 2002, Teen People Magazine named Murray one of the "10 Hottest Guys in TV." Chad is also in the Walt Disney Pictures' comedy, "Freaky Friday," opening August 6 nationwide. Krys (Connecticut): I been a fan since your first episode on Gilmore Girls and was lucky enough to catch your appearance on Diagnosis Murder. youre a great actor. What do you plan on doing now? Chad Michael Murray: Just keep working hard. Brandy (Detroit): Who is your favorite athlete? Chad Michael Murray: Joe Montana. I've been a fan of his since I was a little kid, since I was about 7. I wrote him a letter when I was a little kid, maybe 7 or 8, just to say I was a big fan, normal kid stuff. Cat (Houston): Chad, do you read all your fan-mail? And what was the best gift you've recieved from a fan? Love ya! Chad Michael Murray: Yeah, I do read all my fan mail, I've gotten books, movies, that's about it. Chad Michael Murray: I also want to say that I appreciate all of them. San Jose: Out of all the recent shows and movies you are doing which one are you most excited about releasing?.....btw...u roxed in lone ranger and gilmore girls Chad Michael Murray: "One Tree Hill." Just because it was a great cast, great crew, great producing. We all got along and it was great experience. It's a story about two brothers growing, not knowing that they are brothers, and they come to know each other and confront their past while playing basketball for the same team. basketballFAN (NYC): If you could have one supernatural power what would it be and why? Chad Michael Murray: Man, what would it be? That's a tough question. The power to heal. Because you could make a lot of people happy and healthy and there wouldn't be as much hostility in the world with that. Joan, NY: Wow, Chad I am seriously your hugest fan. I love you so much. Chad Michael Murray: Yeah, the scene where I'm in a coffee shop with Jaime Lee Curtis and we sing to each other. It was fun because it was childish and it just created an interesting moment. L.B. (Washington D.C.): What is the most outrageous thing a fan has done to meet you? Chad Michael Murray: I don't know. It's weird every single time that you get confronted because you think why? I guess, the worst I was at Disney land and a fan sprinted through the park and I was in a line waiting for Indiana Jones and the line just kind of split open and parted like the Red Sea and she jumped on me, kissed me on the cheek and then took off, yelling things. Jenny, Eden Prairie: The first thing that i noticed about Chad was that he is obviously very good looking. But it is more than that. He is an extremely talanted actor, and even though he is becoming very famous, he still seems to be very down to earth, which is more than i can say for most actors. I wish nothing but the best for Chad and hope he is enjoying life. A question i have for Chad is: What has been the hardest thing you have had to do? Chad Michael Murray: The hardest thing I've had to do is travelling, being away from home, living in hotels for a little while, just trying to get yourself into a routine without getting yourself sick or tired, it takes a lot of effort, staying healthy and getting your sleep, so I think that's been the hardest part. Krystal_L_s_1984, Australia: Chad: What would you be doing career wise if you weren?t acting? Chad Michael Murray: I always hoped to be a pediatrician, working with kids, make them feel better. Roxy (Atlanta): Did you actually get to drive the motorcycle in Freaky Friday? How was it? Chad Michael Murray: Nope! They don't let me drive those things because of insurance purposes. What a drag. I do love dirt bikes, riding dirt bike and going to dirt tracks for fun though. Chad Michael Murray: I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for your support and for writing in. There are some new projects coming up that you'll be able to see, such as "Freaky Friday," "One Tree Hill" in the fall and "Cinderalla Story" next spring. I hope you enjoy them, and keep writing.
