calc and FileMaker- trying to work it out

Hi Well, I am working on converting .mdb files into filemaker Pro databases. So far I exported all as xml files and created nice and tidy calc (xls) spreadsheets, that filemaker pro eats with no particular complain. All but one naggy file, which is, naturally the biggest one, so I can't even cheat. Here's the craic: what I have is a list, in one column, with 2 cells separating between each entry, and each entry being about 8 cells. what I want is each entry to take one row with 8 columns. I have to find a way to put something at the end of each current row, to signify new column, excluding the rows that are the first of an entry, since they have to go back to column A and drop a line down. Any feasible ideas? cheers
