Best value for money Indian
restaurant in London So it was said in few travel guides and so it was. Been there twice already, great food, authentic (cheap, not traditional fancy) simple design, feels like a big dining room in the middle of Delhi, not very friendly service and real low prices (20%-30% lower than any other Indian restaurant around here). Unfortunately went there with my sister, who doesn’t like spicy but the mild dishes were beautiful and satisfying. Had the following: Naan and chutnies, Sambusak, Daal soup (gorgeous) for starters, then: Balti chicken (spices, herbs and yogurt), Chicken Tikka Masala (spices, coconut and cream), Saag Panir (spinach and panir cheese), Birriany Mutton and curry veg. altogether - £35 for 4 persons (quantities would have easily been enough for 5) Next week, they will start a winter lunch buffet for £7 pp, promise to check and report. Khan's beginning of Westbourne grove (when coming from Queensway) nearest tube - Bayswater - get out of the station, turn left at Queensway, walk upto westbourne grove, turn left and the restaurant is at the first block to the left.
