maybe it's just me, but when moving from one country to another, I find that one of the most confusing things is what to do with used batteries. It took me about a year to discover where to throw them away in France, and I still haven't found out what to do with them in Poland. That's why I usually just carry them with me until I get to sthlm just to get rid of them!

and yes

Berlin does offer opportunities of getting rid of batteries, but they're not as accessible as in sthlm. Why aren't recycling facilities in a recycling-obssesed country such as germany be clearer?

SPEAKING OF RECYCLING

I got so mad when they decided to introduce the green bin... Now there is a blue bin a grey bin and a green bin... blue=metals and glass grey=paper and carton GREEN=organic waste so annoying since u need to know which day is what and the first two are only once every two weeks and besides all of this there is garbage day (which is once every two weeks so u will recycle...) and trees and leaves day... so ANNOYING!!!!!! Like all I have to do in life is sit at home and start sorting my garbage..​

You only have three bins?

Here we have 4, and in Sweden 5. In France there were two, but the frenchies never recycle. The only thing I miss here is the battery-bin

your problems seem like such tough ones to crack.... I feel your pain... me and my roomate for example are debating what we should make for dinner the whole day.... we are leading tough life here... hehehehehe (you crack me out...batteries.... ​

אין מקום להפטר מהן - צריך פשוט להשליך אותן לפח - ואחרי כמעט 3 שנים זה עדיין משגע אותי. יש לנו רק שלושה פחים - אחד לנייר וקרטון ואחד לפלסטיק, זכוכית ומתכת והשלישי לשאר. בשביל להפטר משקיות הניילון צריך לנסוע לסופרמרקט והשקיות הירוקות נכנסו רק לפני שנה שנתיים - באוסטרליה משתמשים בממוצע של 20,000,000 שקיות ניילון כל יום (במדינה של 20 מליון אנשים). אבל... כמו בהרבה נושאים אחרים - פליטים, זכויות לגייז, המלחמה בעיראק, גם עם איכות הסביבה אוסטרליה מפגרת מאחור עם האדיוט האוורד בתור ראש הממשלה. ולקנדי, רצית להזכר מה זה איכות הסביבה? העולם הזה קיים הרבה הרבה לפני שאתה או אני הגענו לפה, והמין אליו אנחנו משתייכים עומל קשה על מנת להרוס אותו במהירות. משאבים מתכלים והעולם הזה גוסס ולשמור על איכות הסביבה, לקנות מוצרים ירוקים, להשתמש בדברים כמה שיוצר ומחזר במקום לקנות ולזרוק וליצור עוד פסולת - זה מה שיציל את העולם הזה. רק לדוגמה - לשקית ניילון לוקח בערך 1,000 שנים להתכלות, והרבה מהן עפות ברוח ומגיעות למשל לים ואז לוויתנים נמשים מהמים כי הם גוועו מרעב - למה? כי הקיבה שלהם מפוצצת בשקיות ניילון שהם טעו למדוזות. ייצור מסיבי של פרות וכבשית לתעשיית המזון הוא אחד מהגורמים העיקריים לחור באוזון שנמצא מעל הראש לי כרגע. יש גם ההתחממות הגלובלית ועוד הרבה דברים בהם הצלחנו כה מצוין להרוס מקום שהיה כ"כ נהדר. אז איכות הסביבה היא משהו שכדאי שגם לך יהיה איכפת ממנו אם אתה מתכוון להמשיך לחיות בעולם הזה ואם אתה רוצה ילדים (שלא יחיו בגהנות עלי אדמות), כי בטוח שהיא יותר חשובה מעם מי תצא הלילה או איזה יין הולך עם מה.

I said that I am annoyed with all these 500 types of recycling, I didn't say I don't recycle and besides, this is the most boring conversation ever and that's why I said it. So please, don't lecture me about it and don't tell me how to live my life. I hate when people start judging when they don't even know me even a little bit.​

in italy

here as far as i know, there are places in the supermarket, ask there or in anyelctric store. i use rechargeable batteries it's easier and more comfertable i think. here we have to devide in 4 the garbage, and we kind of watch that, if not officially there are fines to the building.​
