Can you please fix mistakes in this letter? Sorry for all the X and Y marks

Dear X, How are you? I hope everything is splendid. I don't know how to open this letter, so I'll just start by introducing myself - my name is XY, I am a high school student who lives in Israel and who heard about you only this year. I have always been interested in astronomy. When I was just a little girl, I had an illustrated encyclopedia of the outer space, with information about planets, black holes and constellations. I was only 10 years old when Ilan Ramon has been sent to space, but I was watching news during the landing and saw live, like many others worldwide, how the Colombia exploded. It was horrible. That year I was collecting articles from daily newspapers and from the Air Force journal. I even bought a spacesuit from a costumes shop. It is sad that the first Israeli astronaut has died. I'm sure long time will pass until the second Israeli astronaut will visit space. As I mentioned before, I heard about you only recently, mostly due to the song X by Y, and much thanks to my curiosity. It's a great song, you can listen to it in XY. Short time after I've been listening to the song, I began to see some refrences to the spaceship strangly - first in a trivia game, in which I didn't know who was the captain of the flight, afterwards in the programme X in Y Channel, in which I couldn't believe that the three of you remained alive after such a huge risk and such a successful rescue operation, and then in the movie with XY playing you, after which I could repeat the sequence of events by heart. I wrote a short story inspired by X, it is called Y and is going to win the first prize in a creative writing competition in my city, so thank you very much for the inspiration and for being a hero! I don't know why, but since I've been watching X, I'm fascinated by your story, maybe because you succeeded to stay calm, comparatively to the situation you were in. Your resource is well discernible in the movie, and I'm sure it is evident also in the real life. I wonder what you've been thinking while you were there. It was frightening, wasn't it?
