Angry and frustrated: Endo and IVF question..

Hello girls, really need an advise here. I have Endo for 5 years, laparoscopy 5 years ago and no treatment since then, only keeping an eye on the cysts with ultrasound every 6 months. I live out of Israel. I am 34 years now, no former pregnancy. I am trying to get a referal to one of the only hospitals in China (that;s where I live) who is offering IVF services. I have to go through an American hospital to get a referal but the doctor there says I must have a laparoscopy to remove all cysts BEFORE I start IVF. I have been seeing some doctors in Israel , some of them I appreciate, and even the last one I saw told me that he does not recommend on another laparoscopy, only IVF NOW. I am frustrated and angry, am I dealing with an idiot here? Can you please advise from your experience. Thanks all

Thanks for the link. However, I feel that my question is different... I have been through one laparoscopy and I regret for that b/c I feel it made my condition worse! I understand from the article that laparoscopy improve the chances for pregnancy, but does it mean natural pregnancy or pregnancy after fertility treatment or both? The most important thing that I would like to know is this: Is it a must to have a laparoscopy before I start IVF or other treatment? My cysts were about 3 cm last time I checked, 6 months ago. I have now colon endo which disturbs me the most. I am suffering so much that I just wanna give a try to IVF and if it does not work I think I will find some other ways to become a mom! But can not stand the idea of my colon endo becomes worse in another laparoscopy with gastro involvement.

ממש לא

בציסטה בסדר גודל שלך (3 ס"מ) אין כל הכרח לעבור עוד לפרוסקופיה. להפך, רבים ממומחי הפריון בארץ טוענים שלנשים עם ציסטה בגודל האמור, מומלץ קודם לכן לנסות 2-3 טיפולי IVF ורק אם הם חו"ח נכשלים, לעבור לפרוסקופיה. את המאמר שצירפתי כתבו ד"ר סוריאנו ופרופ' גולדנברג שכבודם במקומם מונח, אך כמו שאמר בזמנו פרופ' זיידמן שציטט את מאסלאו:" אם מה שיש לך זה פטיש, הכל מסביב נראה לך כמסמרים"... ולכן כאמור, זה הפתרון המומלץ ע"י כירורגים. לא ע"י רופאי פריון. לגבי שאלתך- לא מצאתי איזכור לכך במאמר, כך שאני מניחה שמדובר על כל סוג הריון (ספונטני או ע"י טיפולים). מה שכן- עברת בעבר לפרוסקופיה שהחמירה את המצב ומאז את סובלת יותר, דווקא ייתכן שבמידה ותנותחי ע"י מומחה לנושא דברים ישתפרו, אם כי אני מסכימה שמדובר בהימור מסויים. ההתלבטות לא פשוטה- אני, לאור ניסיוני בלבד, הייתי ממליצה על IVF קודם, אך את צריכה לדעת שגם טיפולי IVF עלולים ללבות את המחלה ולכן עדיף להיות בדיכוי עמוק לפני תחילתם. את צודקת שיש דרכים נוספות להיות אם ואני מקווה שכך או כך בקרוב תמצאי את הדרך שלך

מה לגבי דיכוי?

לא הוצע לך דיכוי לפני טיפול IVF? לפי מה שאת מתארת (ואני לא רופאה) הייתי מנסה דיכוי ארוך של לפחות 3 חודשים ואז מנסה מחזור אחד או שניים ואז שוקלת התערבות כירורגית נוספת. בהצלחה
