a question - please help

I live overseas now, so can not write Hebrew. My question is regarding compensation (pitsuiem). I got paid compensation, for which I had to pay tax. When I submitted my tax returns, I have been told that I can not get any returns for tax paid on compensation. does it make sence? Thank you

I am entitled to tax returns because I worked only part of the year, and therefore paid more taxes than I should have paid on an annual basis. Question is if the compensation money is added to the annual income for tax calculations. If it is I am definately entitled to some returns. Thank you again and all the best.
