A friend, majoring in English

sent me an email, and used "all intensive purposes" INTENTS! Damn it! Annoying Americans!

you know what I hate?

people using "4" and "2" instead of "for" and "to". Also: than and then can drive me isane, apostrophes bring me to my knees, "Its" and "it's", it's easy, you s&#ts! though and through; pay attention, you! But you know what truly makes me sick? when people have spelling mistakes in their own nicks.

../images/Emo12.gif Where have you seen that?

And the spelling mistakes in nicknames are truely so annoying.

Well

In Tzfat, they misspelled "beauty" (wrote it as "beuaty"). I'm pretty sure I've seen it in cities in central Israel, too. I see it a lot, and that's the only example I remember right now.

According to my English teacher

in 11th grade, and to my book from that year, both forms are correct, I didn't bother to research further though.
