Liam Gallagher is to feature on the new album by a British supergroup made-up of three legendary bass players. The Oasis star will sing vocals on one track on the Freebase album, alongside Bobby Gillespie, Tim Burgess and Ian Brown. Freebase includes Peter Hook from New Order, Andy Rourke of The Smiths and Primal Scream's Mani, formerly from The Stone Roses. The group's debut album is currently being recorded, with Hook explaining that Freebase also hope to tour in the near future. "We've been working with some great singers. Tim Burgess has done a vocal for us. Liam Gallagher, I believe, is doing one, (as is) Ian Brown and Bobby Gillespie. "We're going to get them up on stage as well. It's nice that Mani and I can call in a few favours", he told Billboard.
