okay, it's 5am and my hebrew is terrible to begin with, so that probably made zero sense...but I wanted to try

someone over in the regular AVEN site told me that there are regular ace meetups here in IL, and since I don't really know any ace people and am super in the closet about it I figured it might be a nice way t make some friends and get to know other aces.
so...if you could let me know when these meetings are, that would be way cool.

But I have to synchronize my sleeping habits with the rest of the world,
since I have tests this summer (I'm at university).
And yeah, I also prefer nights because they're less hot.

My grandfather from my father's side came from Austria as well.


Ah and yeah, that tumblr is indeed my tumblr. It is supposed to be the tumblr blog of the feminist group of Tel-Aviv University which my friend and I opened this year.
I just reblog random stuff that relate to feminism....
I wish I could also insert some stuff that are related to fandoms, but I don't think it's really related to the blog's theme.

what fandoms are you in?

I've been hoping to meet other feminists/people against rape culture. I'm so fed up with rape jokes. and the like.
actually the other day I was shocked that one of my only ace-acquaintances who i was considering coming out to made a whole bunch of rape jokes that were just terrible. so i changed my mind and didnt come out to him.

anime fandom
(some of my favourite shows are: shinsekai yori, durarara!!, puella madoka magica etc.), homestuck fandom, certain webcomics fandoms (like ava's demon, todd allison and ,the petunia violet, etc.), the bl fandom some indie rpg games (like 'off' and ib).
I lean more to the anime side and webcomics.

...and I want to start watching doctor who already.

About rape jokes- they piss me of.
rest assured that this forum doesn't condone to rape culture.

As an asexual who came out to many people, I am asked quite a lot whether I have been raped or not.
Well, first of all, that's none of ppl's business, and that's a really, really rude question.
Secondly, even if I was raped- you have no right to conclude why I am asexual.

heard of those fandoms

I'm not in fandoms per se, but I'm a fan of Sherlock , Elementary, Orange is the New Black, GoT, Psych, the Mentalist, Perception, Covert Affairs, etc...basically all crime-solving shows. I just love mysteries.


I can't believe people ask that. That's so rude.
Also asexuality isn't a choice...so even if you were raped that doesn't change anything... a straight girl raped by a straight guy doesn't turn gay. a gay man raped by a gay man doesn't turn straight. a lesbian raped by a lesbian doesn't turn straight etc....so a sexual raped by a sexual doesn't turn asexual.
that is the most stupid 'logic' I have ever heard.

The way to meet people here is to take part in meetings, but you can also publish an ad in the forum acquaintance board

also, you can take part in our discussions here, if you want

Our meetings take place every few months or less and we write about it around two weeks before so you can see the event details
Those meetings are very fun and convenient and i'm sure you can find it suitable for you too

How did you come to the realization of your ace-ness?

Why do you describe yourself as "deep in the closet" ? sounds tough
are you being pressured by your family to procreate & stuff?

I wasn't active at all. I'm totally in the closet...not out at all, barely even to myself.
I've had sex and enjoyed it...but I wouldn't mind doing other things instead of having sex /not having sex at all
I'm still a bit confused I guess
sometimes I'm not sure whether I'm ace or just traumatized from sexual abuse I suffered as a kid...
also most people I know don't know about asexuality...and also to some extent I just don't think it's anyone's business what I do or don't do in bed yknow?

.My family doesn't pressure me at all. and everyone knows I don't want kids (of course I hear the regular "you're young you might change your mind" thing, ) but I just don't really feel comfortable fully identifying as ace I guess. I think I'm more demisexual? I don't know tbh. And unless I know for myself what I feel, I don't want to have to explain it to others. Especially ignorant others who have never even heard of asexuality.

sometimes I ramble on too muhc when trying to explain my point and then it just makes even less sense.
