#1-השיר הוא כביכול שיר תגובה של גבר לאלאניס.
#2-בגלל מערכות יחסים גרועות היא ביססה סטריוטיפ שצריך להתנהג לבני זוג שלה בקשיחות ואולי היא סתם עם הפרעות פרפקציוניזם.
#3-היא אמרה שאחרי שהיא כתבה את Narcissus היא רצתה להכנס לנעליים של הגבר כתגובה בגישה של "היי, אני משתדל, אז FUCK YOU"

אלאניס מדברת על a man: "I've had a tendency to focus on more negative experiences I've had with men, and I wanted to represent a lot of the more evolved men that I know as well.
