It's been really beautiful weather, it just started raining yesterday but i got a lot of shopping done MelissaInMusic: anything special you picked up while you were shopping? Mostwantedhilary: i have to find something cool for my friend. it will be here birthday when i return home Mostwantedhilary: but I got a really cool ring for my sister Haylie and lots of cool clothes you can’t get in the States MelissaInMusic: awww. so sweet to think of your sis while you're out and about
MelissaInMusic: you two do so much together. can you tell us about the movie 'Material Girls' you're both in? Mostwantedhilary: yeah, it was so much fun working with her. She is my best friend and really funny. The movie is about two girls who inherit a lot of money and end up losing it all in a scandal. In the end, it all works out and it's really funny watching them trying to put their lives back together MelissaInMusic: Madonna's company is producing the film. did you hang with her on the set? Mostwantedhilary: no, she wasn't on set but she is letting Haylie and I remake the song 'Material Girl' and shoot a video. We had Timbaland produce the track. MelissaInMusic: i read about that! It must be a little intimidating covering madonna! MelissaInMusic: she's got to be one of your role models Mostwantedhilary: I look up to her because she managed to always reinvent herself over all these years. MelissaInMusic: definitely! MelissaInMusic: there was an internet rumor that you were spotted "fleeing the scene" when Lindsay Lohan crashed her car. Mostwantedhilary: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA MelissaInMusic: hehe MelissaInMusic: crazy isn't it?? MelissaInMusic: amazing what people say in the internet Mostwantedhilary: i must have a clone, because I was in Europe when that happened MelissaInMusic: it's insane. What’s the strangest rumor you've heard about yourself? Mostwantedhilary: hmmm Mostwantedhilary: doing tequila shots and showing off my boob job. burning down half of my house by trying to toast bread with Haylie MelissaInMusic: hahaha MelissaInMusic: well, back to something serious. MelissaInMusic: you worked with your bf Joel Madden and his bro Benji on the new songs for 'Most Wanted.' was that easier or more difficult since you know the guys so well? Mostwantedhilary: it was easy. i loved every minute of it. at first, recording ‘Wake Up.’ i only let Benji be in the room because i was nervous, then it was fine MelissaInMusic: you?? nervous?? Mostwantedhilary: is that a shock? MelissaInMusic: yeah! you've been doing this for most of your life! wouldn't think you'd get nervous MelissaInMusic: you're an old pro now, and you're only 18 Mostwantedhilary: sometimes i'm just shy and going in the studio in front of your boyfriend who is also a singer -- one could get a lil nervous MelissaInMusic: well it's good to know you're human, just like us MelissaInMusic: i know you have to run, so just a couple quick questions left MelissaInMusic: tell us about the painting benji bought you for your b-day? who knew you were an art buff?
