POP princess Kylie Minogue has quashed speculation she will marry French love Olivier Martinez after his mother told a UK newspaper the lovebirds were set to wed. Minogue has been at the centre of marriage rumours for months. Earlier this week, Martinez's mother, Rosemarie, told London's Daily Star newspaper her son would tie the knot with the star in Australia. "My son has promised we will be flown over for the big day," Mrs Martinez said. Wedding speculation resurfaced two weeks ago when Minogue was spotted trying on wedding dresses in Melbourne. "We're just rejoicing that she and my son can go ahead and make the plans they've wanted to make for so long," Mrs Martinez said. But Kylie's publicist has now denied the wedding rumours, saying: "This is just not true." The couple had planned to tie the knot in the middle of last year, but their plans were put on hold when Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer. According to reports, the Australian pop star is in remission after six months of intensive treatment. Meanwhile, Kylie is reportedly writing a diary to inspire fellow cancer sufferers. The diminutive star is thought to be penning a daily journal that she wants to publish to help others battling the disease. The couple met in a hotel lobby in Los Angeles and have been together for three years. Martinez has been by Minogue's side throughout her battle with the cancer. She has promised Australian fans that she will resume her planned national tour as soon as she is well enough.
