Tsafoofli Tsafoofli is a monthly newsletter which will include articles, all in one place, of the purposes and activities of as many Jewish-Gay organizations as possible. Such articles will inform, inspire and better the membership of those Jewish-Gay organizations. Along with furthering the promotion of Jewish-Gay organizations, a goal of Tsafoofli is to encourage Jewish Gays to express themselves individually through the means which Tsafoofli can encourage, such as through stories, poetry, images, or opinions on stories, poetry, or images authors have seen. These stories do not need to be comparable to the words of Baldwin, nor do the images need necessarily be as involved as Kahlo’s. Opinions of individual Jewish Gays on popular culture, such as plays, films, or music, are also encouraged, as well as thoughts on court rulings affecting Jewish Gay life. Tsafoofli is free to represent Jewish-Gay organizations as well as Jewish-Gay individuals equally, as Tsafoofli is its own entity, unaffiliated with any one Jewish-Gay organization. The primary advantage of an online location for the newsletter is the chance for anyone with access to the Internet to view the newsletter. It will allow for various Jewish Gays to have information which will delight, inspire, and support them through others like them. There are many ways Gays practice or identify with Judaism, and there are many ways consenting Jews express their sexuality. Tsafoofli will represent in the most inclusive manner possible the many hues of the identity which we collectively make up. A goal for the future of Tsafoofli is being printed and distributed through magazine racks in various cafés. However, as the Tsafoofli newsletter is designed to be an entirely inclusive effort, concerns about matters such as the distributing of Tsafoofli to Jewish Day schools will be heard and published for all to see in Tsafoofli, as well as voted on democratically. The next edition of Tsafoofli will come out on February 1st 2005, and submissions are highly encouraged now and through the next four weeks (until January 23rd 2005). Articles for World Pride 2005 in Jerusalem will be appear in several issues of Tsafoofli as well, and if you would like to contribute an article on World Pride 2005, it can be in the February 2005 edition. E-mail [email protected] the words or scanned images you wish to add to Tsafoofli and let as many of your Jewish-Gay friends know, all over the globe, to do the same. Feel free to e-mail words of support to [email protected] also, and indicate if you would like to have anything you submit published anonymously. Please also review http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/ for their terms on geocities.com content.
