L4-5 and L5-S1
A radiologist should give proper explanations BUT roughly all is normal, thank goodness other than at the levels L4-5 and L5-S1 there is a disc bulge or herniation with little pressure on the thecal sac which contains the nervous material there are alot of people out there with really messed up MRI's and no symptoms, as we dont treat the MRI, you need to corralate the image with your symptoms if the herniation is the cause of your symptoms, then most disc herniations can be treated conservatively and the body will absorb the water, which comprises a large part of disc material. AS the disc shrinks and pressure is relieved from the nerve root. If a you do not improve, surgery may be considered. Speak to your physician as to whether he thinks your discs are causing your present problems.
