e-40 או צ´ארלי האסל בכינוי לפני שמתחילים בכלל לדבר תוריד בקאזה את אחד השירים הנפלאים שלו Hope I Don´t Go Back שמבוסס על שיר שגדלת עלי- - אני מבטיח לך שתאהב! ודוקא ראפר שעושה ווסקוסט איכותי שמבוסס על הרבה פאנק (שאני יודע שאתה אוהב!) הוא אחת הדוגמאות הקלאסיות לאומן שלא נכנע ללחץ של חברה שבא הוא חתום האומןםן הזה מייצג הוציא 7 אלבומים. ומעולם לא חצה למיינסטרים למרות זאת הוא מביא איתו סגנון מהיר ששמעתי רק אצלו! והוא קארקטר מטורף. ממש לא מזמן יצא אלבומו החדש Grit & Grind שהוא אלבום פושר יחסית לאלבומיו הקודמים. האיש לא פחות עשיר ממאסטר פי ואני חושב שהדוגמה הכי טובה להוכיח את כישרונו כראפר בעל פלואו מטורף היא פשוט להוריד את השירים הבאים לשמוע ולהחליט לבד! תורידו את : Hope I Don´t Go Back ksg,h לדעתי אחד הטובים שלו!! Sprinkle Me Rappers´ Ball עם קייסי וג´וג´ו Things´ll Never Change שמבוסס על changes של ברוס הורנסבי (הרבה לפני שטופאק השתמש בו) ומהאלבום החדש הסינגל האחרון Rep Yo City יחד עם Petey Pablo, Bun B, Eightball, Lil´ Jon & The Eastside Boyz לפני שקוטלים קצת להתעמק ולעשות עבודת שטח! שמובן שיש עוד אבל זוהי טעימה ותשאירו כאן תגובות מה דעתכם אחרי שהאזנתם לשירים בנוסף בירות מקצועית של ספאנס אבוט: In less than a decade, E-40 has quickly become the Godfather Don of NorCal rap, surpassed only by pioneering Oakland mack-daddy Too $hort in terms of influence and recorded output. While last year´s whopping Element of Surprise (clocking in at over 100 minutes!) was a bit hard for all but the hardcore to swallow, E-40´s new joint, delivered under the alias Charlie Hustle, is mean, lean, and altogether a "Yay-Area" masterpiece. If you´ve never felt the aural assault of E-40 before, then this album will wake you to his off-kilter brilliance. Every one of the 17 tracks bumps, grinds, and flows with E-40´s unmistakable lyrical lash. As usual, E-40 delivers bugged slang in a certified herky-jerky delivery; his voice poppin´, clickin´, and waverin´ in creative cadence over full-tilted mob beats. It´s the most attractive aspect of E-40´s appeal. From the opening thump of "L.I.Q." to the Sir Mix-A-Lot-like "Ballin´ With My Homies," the music on Charlie Hustle provides the perfect soundtrack for slow-rollin´ and block-party mashin´. E-40 proves to be in full effect on tracks like "Rules and Regulations," which rolls along to an infectious groove while he spits serious street tales. The bubbly beat of "Earl, That´s Yo Life" is post-gangsta sonic interference, while "Do What You Know Good" is a sing-along gospel-of-the-streets thumper. For pure head-nod delight, few come close to the funk of E-40, and Charlie Hustle exposes that to the fullest. So, as E-40 might say, grab yaself some numb-numb juice and get loose. Spence Abbott
