When Kim Mathers, the ex-wife of hip-hop star Eminem, pled guilty to cocaine possession in Macomb County Circuit Court in Mt. Clemens, Mich., on Dec. 18, it was the latest chapter in the rapper's baby-mama drama. However, despite Kim's recent troubles and the couple's volatile marital breakup, Eminem's grandfather Bob Nelson tells Star the 31-year-old superstar is "still in love with her -- I guess it's unconditional love." Nelson points out that Kim is the mother of Em's daughter, Hailie, 8, and even though the couple divorced in 2001, surprisingly, Kim still lives with Eminem. "That shows he still cares deeply for Kim and her well-being," adds Todd Nelson, Em's uncle. "Plus, it's important to him that Kim is around, so she can be a presence in her daughter's life." Adds Bob, "Everyone in our family is pulling for her. We all wish her the best in her journey to straighten out." As Star reported exclusively in our Dec. 23 issue, Mathers fled to Cancun, Mexico, where she threatened suicide after skipping two mandatory court appearances on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6. "Drugs have a hold on her, and it hasn't been easy for her to kick the habit," Bob says. "But Kim is a strong person, and I believe with the right help, she'll overcome her demons."
