ביקורת של "בלנדר" על הקליפ DWYT
(שכנראה הוא יוצא רשמית גם בארה"ב) The second clip from Kelly's unfairly maligned album My December is a downer. As usual, it's about a crumbled relationship, but it's not triumphant ("Since U Been Gone") or especially angry ("Never Again"). It's sad, self-defeating and unquestionably honest. The video finds Kelly playing Sleeping Beauty stuck in a castle surrounded by dead trees. A hunky prince charming tries to break through, but - and this is key - he can't. This isn't escapist pop; There's no happy ending here. "Don't waste your time tryin' to fix/ What I wanna erase, what I need to forget," she pleads, her teary eyes hiding little. While the CGI backdrops are a tad too Evanescence, the video takes advantage of Clarkson's increasingly expressive face - frustration, depression and hurt are all vividly on display. On the song, as well as on My December, Kelly bravely exposes her emotions, however self-conscious or pissed off they may be. But the ferocious strength of her voice suggests there's a way through the muck. The last line of "Don't Waste Your Time" changes one small word and offers some sun-through-the-clouds confidence: "Don't waste MY time." סה"כ הביקורת היא לטובת השיר ונגד הקליפ, אומרים שזה קליפ משעמם. ומשווים את הקליפ לקליפ של אוונסנס.... בלנדר מאז ומתמיד נתנו יחס מועדף לקלי, וגם פה הם אומרים שהאלבום מקבל יחס לא הוגן.
