התקנת KB893803v2 נכשלת

שלום אני מנסה להתקין את ה-Windows Installer V3.1 על שרת 2000 SP4 ומקבל Access Deinied. את ההתקנה אני עושה עם משתמש אדמיניסטרטור של הדומיין. מצורף קובץ הלוג של ההתקנה. תודה.

השורה שמדאיגה אותי היא: 22.891: GetCatVersion: Failed to retrieve version information from C:\WINNT\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\KB893803v2_w2k.cat with error 0x57 0x57 זאת שגיאה די כללית "access denied", כאשר ייתכן אפילו מצב שהקובץ לא נמצא. תנסה לשנות שם לתיקיה הזאת (אם היא עדיין קיימת), לרסת את המחשב ולנסות להתקין מחדש כי על פניו תוכנת ההתקנה לא מצליחה לקרוא משהו ממה שהיא חילצה מהexecutable של הpatch.
