היום החדשת ב BBC Radio 4 פתחו בספור על הגירה גדולה לבריטניה. אלפי אנשים מהאיחוד האירופאי מחפשים עתיד כלכלי יותר טוב בבריטניה. בדרך כלל הם מחפשים עבוות jobs שאינן דורשות ידע טוב של השפה מקומית או מגע ישיר עם האולוסיה. מקצוע פופולריהואנהג וטובוס ובאמת קווים 268/H1/2/3 באיזור Golders Green מפעלים על ידיצוות של 15 אנשים מעיר מסוימת מפולין- והם עוים עבודה טובה עבור 9-10£ לשעה. לכן התחרות על עבודה זמנית ללא כישורים וידע לא ברמה של שפתאם [אני לא מכיר אותך אבל רק אתה יודע כמה באמת האנגלית שלך טובה!] היא עצומה. בגיל 21 תקבל בערך £4.5 לשעה או 35 שעות לשבוע מינוס מיסים. בעגלותובקניון יש סכוי של תצליח להרוויח אפילו את זה. הסברתי שבלונדון העגלות בקניונים ידועים לשמצה אצל הלונדונים כ rip off וכגן עדן למהגרים לא חוקיים. בין 24/12/2006-15/1/2007 תושבי לונדון מקדישים את הזמן ל Xmas , sales & new year parties. המלצתי על תקציב שבועי של £120 per week. ההכנסה מעגלות לא בטוחה או ידועה uncertain. אם יש מקצוע או כשורים תוכל למצוא עבודה כ European Union National באופן חוקי . This is not hard at all. Medical: please note that the NHS in the Uk would not always prescribe the same medicine as doctors in Israel. My recommendation is to get your GP [family practitioner] to write a letter in English with the details of your medical condition and what he has been prescribing so far. 2nd mortgage

Hi Woking, Sorry, I do not know of a reputable lender which offers second mortgages for less than 6%, however.. Recently, the earnings multiple for a primary mortgage has been increased from 3.5 to 5 [Abbey for instance], so it may be cheaper to re-mortgage with them.[recently= last week!] The main problem with a second mortgage is of seniority, because of the risk of default; the first mortgage has the priority, hence, generally a seperate second mortgage carries a higher risk , reflecting in a higher interest rate [or, equivalent in fees etc]. The other point to watch is the total value of both mortgages- should not exceed the official valuation of the property. Hence my recommendation is to re-mortgage with one lender- using a new valuation and the higher multiple. it would be cheaper than the 6%. Regards Yoram​

המטרה שלי היא לא ללוות יותר כסף, אלא to hedge my bets. יש לי משכנתא ב-variable rate ואני רוצה להבטיח חלק מהסכום ב-fixed rate. מסיבות כאלו ואחרות אני רוצה לשמור על ה-variable rate. אם יש לך איזשהו רעיון אני אשמח לשמוע.

Hi Woking, ah, that's a lot simpler! did you ask your current mortgage provider? some would allow the split between fixed and variable rate. Did you try switch your mortgage to another provider, who would agree to such a thing? you have to look- and it will cost you money. The mortgage market is very competitive and far more innovative than it ever was before. Interest rates in the UK should be raised next week from 4.75% to 5% [and the market has already discounted for that!]. so there is no hurry! for a commercial operator there are various means to convert a variable rate liability to fixed rate; interest rate Option, or an interest rate Future contract, or even entering an interest rate swap agreement. I am not sure that such options are available to individuals. sorry, I can not be more specific than that! regards Yoram​

תודה על התגובה עתורת המידע. הבנתי שלהרשם אצל gp זה ממש לא בעיה, סהכ"ל צריך להגיע ולהרשם ואז אני זכאי לתיפול רפואי, כמובן שבכסף (אני צודק?/כמה כסף זה עולה? האם משלמים פר טיפול או תשלום חודשי מקיף כמו בארץ?) עוד כמה שאלות (כל מי שיודע מוזמן לענות..) אמרת שאפשר למצוא עבודה נורמאלית כ European Union National העניין שאין לי כישורים חוץ מתעודת הבגרות שלי והשירות הצבאי שלי, אני מחפש עבודה סבירה עם הכנסה שיכולה לכלכל אותי למחייתי שם, האם יש עבודות כאלה? מה הסיכוי של אדם בלי דרכון/אזרחות ארופאית להשיג שם עבודה? האם מקבלים שם עובדים "זרים" בצורה שחורה..?

1. as a European National, once you register with a GP, you are entitled to free treatment. medical prescriptions would cost you £6.90 each [just like everybody else]. 2. There are many casual jobs in London. Bear in mind that London is the destination of choice for east european migrants from Poland and central Europe. Many do not know English well, and they look for jobs where good knowledge of English is not obligatory. What jobs are available? It depends on how good your Engish really is. can you work in an office? can you read and write in English as well as you can in Hebrew? if so, there are many temp office jobs . If not- there are jobs in services [pubs restaurants shops supermarkets] etc. The place to find them is at a Job Centre [search google for UK sites only] or they are advertised in the Evening Standard, the free papers [Metro in the am, Lite and similar free papers in the pm] and in a weekly magazine called TNT available from free stands around Victoria, Charing Cross, and other major stations. The wages should start at £4.50, but, quite a few will pay more, especially if the hours are unsocial. Generally in London you should expect a rate of £5 to £6 per hour for a 9-5 job. more if you work other hours. 3. the above mentioned [in 1 & 2] only applies to European nationals. Visitors holding israeli nationality- if caught- will be deported. not only that- you will not be entitied to free medical treatment- unless it is an emergency. A law abiding employer [such as myself- in the voluntary sector] would never employ someone without a work permit. Hence the warning issued before regarding selling stuff in shopping centre. regards Yoram​

תקן אותי אם אני טועה אבל נראה לי כי אתה לא מבין עד הסוף את המשמעות של להיות בעל אזרחות של מדינה החברה באיחוד האירופי... משמעות הדבר היא שאתה יכול לחיות ולעבוד בכל אחת ממדינות האיחוד (ובריטניה ביניהן) ללא צורך בשום אשרה. זה כאילו היית אזרח אמריקאי שרוצה לעבור ממדינת ניו-יורק למדינת קליפורניה. המעבר מבחינתך הוא שקוף. זו הסיבה שדרכון אירופאי נחשק כל כך. וזו כנראה גם הסיבה שהוריך טרחו להשיגו עבורך. למה אני מספרת לך את כל זה... עבודה בעגלות היא מעין קומבינה של ישראלים בעיקר כדי לעבוד ולהעסיק ישראלים אחרים בצורה לא חוקית בבריטניה. זו עבודה שוחקת בשכר נמוך יחסית לשוק המקומי ובשעות מטורפות. אם כבר השקעת כל כך הרבה משאבים בכדי להשיג את הדרכון הגרמני, מדוע לא להינות ממנו? כאירופאי, אתה יכול לעבוד בכל מקום שתרצה. מצא לך עבודה מכובדת יותר, רווחית יותר וכך תוכל להינות יותר מן השהייה בבריטניה. מי שאין לו ברירה ולא יכול לחפש תעסוקה בבריטניה אבל בכל זאת רוצה לעבוד שם, פונה לעבודה בעגלות. כמובן שיש תמיד את הסיכוי שייתפס ויגורש מבריטניה.
