כל מילה נוספת מיותרת, קריאה מהנה : Ok I've sat back & watched & listened to everyone for the past month. Now it's time for me to speak up! Semen, Neil & all of the others who are being so critical! Firstly I respect all of your opinions on this particuler project. But I'm sorry I don't really understand the hypocrasy! Neil how can you boycott RBW as some kind of statement against CORPERATE Kylie & it's urban comerciality yet you openly advertise her underwear range and all of her other 'products' that have nothing to do with her 'music' all over your site. Surely this is a major contradiction to your grievence! The fact that she even does the whole underwear thing is a major credibility killer IMO! I also don't think it is particularly appropriate when your AMAZING site is seen as a place for ridicule & general nastiness about the artist it is supposedly promoting/worshipping. I have been a fan of Kylie since the beginning. IP is definately my favourite album & as Darren said in his post I was so proud of Kylie when I heard it. But her key (UK) audience didn't like it. For whatever reason it just didn't sell! But it is still an amazing album! I was actually one of the first to go f*cking mental when Spinning/Night & the whole Light Years period started. Don't even start me on f*cking Loveboat! But once I got the album there were actually a few songs on it that I liked! CGYOOMH I loved on the OANLT tour. But the single left me a little cold & the album even colder! I don't think it shone for me til I heard the New Order remix! The album had 4 good tracks on it at best. Now onto BL. I really cannot see that it is anywhere near as bad as you are all saying. On the first few listens yes it doesn't gel very well. But now after putting it away for a while & playing it Iagain now I actually do think it is her strongest album since IP. Ok some of it is really f*cking sh*t. But there are also a few really great moments! And as for RBW sure it's a bit sh*t, but f*ck its as catchy as cancer (sorry Delta)! To start a hate campaign against her for it? I mean come on it's a 3 minute pop song. Not a f*cking war in the Middle East! Kylie has always followed commercial trends & she would not be with us today if she didn't. Every album she has every produced has had immence commerciality on it's side. Sure the Parlo stuff is a little more contrived but lets be honest here it ain't the first time! Even IP was a mish mash of the styles that were around at the time. You can not tell me if she produced the album that we all wanted so much it would be selling any better than BL has. Sure some of us would like it alot. But as you can see on this great forum it's a case of different strokes for different folks. And the ones that like BL may not have liked it! As someone who has worked in the industry since Kylie arrived on the scene I can assure you all that apart from KYLIE & FEVER she has NEVER sold many albums. Kylie is a singles artist & always will be! When her achievements are listed it is always her 38 top 20 SINGLES we hear about! BL ain't actually selling that badly! Lastly! I think all those who are complaining have actually lost sight of why we all love Kylie to begin with. Well why I do anyway. She is one of us! She ain't the best at what she does & she doesn't pretend to be. She is somone that lucked into what she does & has made something great out it. She's every sad kid that ever sang into their hairbrush & danced around the room with her (even sadder) little sister. She got kicked down & got back up again (many f*cking times)! She does what she wants to do. She does what she likes and I believe she does her best at it! I firmly believe that she likes this album & thought her fans would like it too! It is a progression & it stands head & shoulders over most of the sh*t out there at the moment! And I'm sure we'll get yet another amazing live show out of it! I for one am still proud of her & think its a shame others have lost the pride they used to feel for her for simply just continuing on against the knockers! They seem to have now become the knockers! She's (OK REALLY SAD) Still Standin! keepin me dancin yeah! Keep on rockin' in the FREE world!
