Robyn Brooks is just 7 years old and has been battling with cancer since the age of 3. She has received all conventional treatment available in the UK, but unfortunately relapsed. Her parents were told that nothing available in the UK would cure her, and so turned their sights to new treatment that is only available in the USA. This treatment is very expensive, and so the Robyn Brooks appeal was launched to raise the funds necessary to get Robyn to the USA and hopefully save her life. The Brooks family are currently in the USA where Robyn has begun receiving treatment at the Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Centre. At the time of writing (Dec 10th 2002), the fund has paid the hospital $400,000 and the expected total cost will exceed 1 MILLION DOLLARS!! The campaign desperately needs more in order that Robyn be able to complete her treatment. Jen, Tash & Liz are helping raise awareness of the Robyn Brooks Appeal - they visited Robyn at her Rochdale home and paid a surprise visit on Robyn's 6th birthday and instantly fell in love with her. Since then the Kittens have being helping whenever they can to promote Robyns campaign, raise funds and put a smile on Robyns face with a visit. Just last week, the girls met up with Robyn and her family in New York - check out the pictures in the photo gallery! Every donation however small gives Robyn a fighting chance.
