I found the birth certificate of Ruda Dobrzynski, actually two
birth certificates. Why two? Children should have been registered
immidiately after they were born but unlike Christian children who
were baptised immidiately after they were born and therefore were
registered immidiately the Jewish children were very often
registered late or not at all.
So Ruda Dobrzynska according to the documents was born between 1897 and the father registerd her 3 years later.1900. A lot of
people considered the registration day as the actuall birthday
date. The record was put into the authorities book of register,
the language was Russian as Poland didn;t exist at that time and
all the official documents were in Russian.
Ruda Dobrzynska was born in 1897 as the daughter of Berek( |Ber,
Berysz) and Zysla Frajda Górska. The family tree looks like that:
Berek Dobrzynski- born 1865 in Łódz as the son of Moszek and Priwa
Zandberg married first Szprynca( his first wife) and then Zysla
Frajda Górska- born 1872 in Zdunska Wola as a daughter of Szmul
Chaskiel and Nacha Rogozinska. The couple got married in 1892. I
found their marriage certificate from Łódz Rabbi( the document
Berek Dobrzynski was a middleman. The family lived in Długa 18(
today the street is called Gdanska Street and the house exists.)
see the link below: https://www.google.pl/maps/place/Gda%C5%84ska+18,+...
then the family moved to Ogrodowa 20 which was somewhere close to the factory of Poznanski, probably in the brick family houses
belonging to the family of Izrael Poznanski who had the 2 largest
Łodz cotton textile factory. See the pictue Ogrodowa Street. The
bright side( renovated) now is the hotel. The other was the family
houses for the workers. The family probably have worked in the
factory of Poznanski.
Zysla Frajda Dobrzynska died in Łódz in 1914.
They had children:
>> -Ruda Dobrzynski - born 1897
>> - Sura Gitla- born 1897
>> -NAcha- born1913- died 1917
>> -Rajza Dobrzynska - born 1895
>> -Priwa -born 1907
>> -Juda-born 1907
>> -Mojzesz Dobrzynski born 1905
>> -Idel Dobrzynska -born 1909
>> -Rywa Dobrzynska - 1910
>> Some children apprear in the cenzus card of Berek- see the cenzus card.
The family also appears in the Book of Permament Citizens. See the
Book of Permament citizens.
Also, there were some 'attached' documents to the Book of
The research is always a lottery. One never know what will be as
'attached citizens'. sometimes there are birth/marriage/death/
criem records/applicationf for passport.
In this case I am sending you what I found about them in Łodz.
Those people who died in Lódz probably have graves at the Lodz
Jewish cemetery. Most of the documentation survived so in most
cases it is possible to find a burial location.
Some documents have doubles- probably needed for some
administration reasons that's why you have two certificate of
birth of Ruda Dobrzynska.
ok. I am sharing the documents with you via google drive.
