Came across a 40 page magazine marketing Israeli realestate to the British Jewish community, good people who may think putting their money where their mouth is in regards to Israel is the right Zionist thing to do, unaware of the country's housing crisis, and of the effect they'd have on the average Israeli's ability to buy.

Don't be angry at them, instead look at the companies who are marketing to overseas above the Israeli public's heads an wallets as those who should be lined up against the wall.

This kind of housing should be the icing on the cake, not the main course, and has no place in a market where the state owns 92% of the many yet the people can't afford to buy their own homes as their parents could a generation ago.

Please pass the thread on to political contacts, this is just one example of how Israel is being sold beyond the reach of the Israelis.

And even an add for a project in Hifa ( no Jerusalem adds, though one of the articles mentions the possibility of living there).

We're not talking a few villas in Hertzeliya Pituach (though they have some of those too), we are talking major miss allocation of state owned land to luxury projects during a housing crisis.

The JC was around since the 1840s, and must have ran the JNF / KKL blue box campaign for most of the 20th century. I doubt if its readers gave what they could over the generations so that the contents of the blue box could be sold at the highest price while the average Israeli is priced out of the housing market. Jewish charity should nit be used to enrich a few constructors at the expense of the Israeli people for whom it was given.

Yep, yet all they aim "solutions" at buyers

I've read of everything from price hikes on low electricity consumption to all kinds of fines and taxes, but the way to deal with the problem is on the supply side, why Israeli planners and constructors are aiming their housing
elsewhere.

Derogatory terms like "Tsafrokayim", hate and jealousy towards people who thought they were doing something Zionist by investing in Israel, or punitive measures against them once they'be already bought will just leave them angry at Israel or "Israelis" (anyone not from their own Áda or language group) and less inclined to integrate by learning Hebrew or seeking services from outside their language group.
