Hello all, on 7/4/1979 the RT last run in service on route 62. The RT family consisted of just under 7000 buses all built for London Transport. They saw service between 1939 and 1979. To commemorate the event, RT3871 run in service yesterday on the route 62. here is the bus standing at the Gascogine estate, Barking. regards Yoram.

When you write 7/4/1979 so you mean April 7th or July 4th? I'm asking because in different countries there is a different convention about writing the date, so to prevent ambiguity

In Israel & the UK (& probably Europe as a whole): 7/4/04 = 7th April 2004 In N. America: 7/4/04 = July 4th 2004 To avoid confusion, the following short format may help: 7 Apr 04.

Hello all, Yes, the date is 07 Apr1979 and 2004- the european convention. and yes, I do speak and read hebrew. My windows ME op system is in English, and I can not write any Hebrew messages. To do this would require buying a very expensive hebrew language OP system. When I was in HK, it was possible to buy cheap software at bargain prices. I never saw anything on offer in Hebrew. regards, Happy Passover and have a good meeting Yoram.

ניסיתי לכתוב את ההודעה בעברית, ואז סדר כתיבת התאריך בצורות השונות השתבש... אגב, קרה משהו בקידוד, ואני לא מצליח להשתמש במקלדת לכתיבת עברית, אלא ע"י COPY-PASTE מ-WORD. למישהו יש מושג מה יכול להיות?

Birmingham Tram
Hello all, last weekend, a group of 4 of us went to Birmingham on the new cheap and cheerful Megabus service. it is a 3 hr bus trip which cost us £2.06. anyway, for some years a Tram service between Birmingham city centre [- snow hill, and wolverhampton has been in operation. here is the tram heading for Snow Hill. regards Yoram

Hello all, last weekend, a group of 4 of us went to Birmingham on the new cheap and cheerful Megabus service. it is a 3 hr bus trip which cost us £2.06. anyway, for some years a Tram service between Birmingham city centre [- snow hill, and wolverhampton has been in operation. here is the tram heading for Snow Hill. regards Yoram

Birmingham was the place where the Metrobuses were produced, so it is natural that the local transport authority bought the largest number of them. Most are out of service, but here is 22 years old Mark 2 Metro at wolverhampton on a local service. regards Yoram.
