question about time zones
first of all, forgive me for using english. due to technical difficulties i can´t write in hebrew, but i can read though. anyway, reading previous question(s) about time zones aroused my thought. i wonder, what happens between japan and usa´s west coast. isn´t japan´s time zone gmt+12(?) and the west coast´s gmt-12(?). so say it´s now 12:00 in gmt. in the west coast its the beginning today, while in japan its the beginning of tomorrow... do you see my problem? japan and the west coast are very close to each other but 24 hours or so separates them... i truly dont understand. can anyone explain?
