אני חושב שהסקר
מעט בעייתי. אני מסכים עם נשדידאן, שלא קל להגדיר מיהו מתרגם. לכן גם ייתכן שהסקר לא ישקף נאמנה את המציאות. יש אנשים שהם מתרגמים מעולים (ויש לנו כמה כאלה בין החברים כאן) אך אינם עוסקים בתרגום. האם גם הם ישתתפו? האם הם עונים להגדרה "מתרגמים", והאם הם מתאימים לענות על שאלת הסקר? יש גם עורכים - שמדי פעם גם מתרגמים. האם הם לא ישתתפו? אם נמנע מחלק מן העוסקים בתרגום להשתתף בסקר - ייתכן שיהיו פחות משתתפים מן המצופה. ובעצם, בפורום שלנו כותבים, תורמים ומשתתפים רבים שהם מתרגמים חובבים - אם כי אינם עוסקים בתרגום כמקצוע. בקיצור, ייתכן שאנחנו צרכים לנסח שאלות אחרות לסקר, ונבדוק זאת.
