על מנת להחיות קצת את הפורום, הנה שרשור הטעויות המטומטמות ביותר ששמעתם בשפה האנגלית. הן יכולות להיות מתוך: תוכנית טלוויזיה, עיתון, או סתם אימרה של מישהו שאתם מכירים. אני אתן דוגמא: פעם אמרתי משהו לילד בכיתה שלי משהו והוא לא שמע אותי אז הוא אמר: "what did you say? I don't heard you" מה דעתכם? טוב? יופי, כי עכשיו תורכם!

I remember being told about a sign in a Russian hotel, that read 'If you think the staff is rude, you should see the management'...

Attempts to make literal tranlations can be very amusing indeed. I've heard many Israeli students say things like 'a piece of heavy' and 'a difficult egg', referring, of course, to liver and a hard-boiled egg respectively. Also 'shaving knife' for razor blade is a very common mistake, but somehow more forgivable.​
